This button will display the conversion formula for the two current selections.

This button will perform the conversion.  Keyboard equivalents are: enter key and return key.

This popup menu is used to set the display format of the converted value.  Choose Auto, Fixed, or Scientific notation.

This is the “Change To” list of units.  Use keyboard (with shift key) to select by typing the name of the desired unit.  Shifted arrow keys work also.

This is the “Change From” list of units.  Use keyboard to select by typing the name of the desired unit.  Arrow keys work also.  If editing is enabled, double clicking allows editing of the item.

This is the result of the conversion.  If you choose “Copy Value” from the Edit menu, it will be copied to the Clipboard.

Type or paste a number here that you want to convert and press the enter or return key or click on the “Calculate” button below.  Decimal and Scientific notation are accepted.

If editing is enabled (set in the preferences dialog) the current unit may be deleted.

If editing is enabled (set in the preferences dialog) the current unit definition may be edited.

If editing is enabled (set in the preferences dialog) a new unit may be added to the current list.

This arrow will allow you to return to the list of available conversion categories.  Keyboard equivalents are: left arrow key.

Select this ICON to view functions and formulas.

Select this ICON to view constant and property tables.

This hilited ICON shows that Unit Conversions is the current mode.

This button will display the “About” dialog.  Same as choosing “About Engineering Assistant…” from the Apple menu.
